Appointment with the participants in the places and times established, transfer arrangement in minibus and departure for Sant’Angelo Muxaro.
Meetup with our guide, a short presentation and a first meeting with Olga who, together with her family, runs a small dairy that produces cheese and ricotta that we will taste.
Our walk continues towards the Bakery of Maria and Angelo, where we will be greeted by the warmth of an antique wood oven. Maria will offer us warm bread to taste seasoned with oil and fragrant oregano of her own production along with fragrant sweets made of honey and almonds.
At the end of the tastings we will visit the MuSAM – the Museum of Sant’Angelo Muxaro, opened in 2015, where discoveries that have made the town famous all over the world are housed. Some gold objects, found here, testify that Sant’Angelo Muxaro represents the “heart” of the myth of a powerful and hegemonic Sicanian kingdom.
